We want to create a model of localised solutions for grassland restoration in India that is not about mass planting of grasses. The interventions we look to propose range from controlled grazing, protection for the first two years, building demi-lunes in bare soil areas to prevent run-off and selectively planting grass. These require attention to detail to ensure that they are suitable to the ecological and social context.
