Siddhartha is an environmental sociologist and is a part of the environmental humanities community. He combines field and archival work in collecting data for several interdisciplinary academic projects, including environmental justice, pastoral landscape change, human and wildlife interactions, agrarian and environmental interfaces, and ecosystem services and human well-being.
