Shubham Kalwani is a dedicated wildlife researcher and conservationist specializing in mammal and avian ecology, behavioural studies, and dry grassland and desert ecosystems. He holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Geo-information and Remote Sensing from Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner.

His research experience includes working as a Junior Research Fellow at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, focusing on Sloth Bear Conservation, habitat evaluation, corridor connectivity, camera trapping, and human-wildlife interactions. Previously, he contributed as a Field Biologist at ERDS Foundation, assessing the impact of transmission lines on avian fauna in Bikaner. He also worked as a Field Assistant at Wildlife Institute of India (WII), studying the rehabilitation and telemetry of Cinereous Vultures.
Shubham has actively participated in wildlife surveys and research projects across India, including vulture studies, migratory bird assessments, and carnivore occupancy surveys. His field expertise includes GIS mapping, telemetry studies, camera trapping, distance sampling, bird identification, and animal handling (raptors & small mammals).

Shubham is passionate about wildlife conservation, biodiversity assessment, and ecological research, striving to contribute to sustainable conservation practices in arid and semi-arid landscapes.
