I am fascinated by molluscs and love studying them, especially in the areas of systematics, ecology, and evolutionary biology.
My academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Zoology from Gauhati University, followed by M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Zoology) from NIT Rourkela, Odisha. Currently, my Phd work focuses on the systematics of terrestrial molluscs in the Indian region. Throughout my research journey, I have been fortunate to work under esteemed mentors, enhancing my skills as a Junior (2018-20) and Senior Research Fellow (2020-2022) in the DBT India funded project on “Bioresources and sustainable livelihoods in Northeast India”.
Apart from my academic achievements, I have actively engaged in the scientific community, presenting my findings at various national and international conferences and publishing several research articles in reputed journals. Besides research, I enjoy sharing my knowledge through workshops, seminars, and invited talks. Outside of my academic interests, I am a sports enthusiast and love playing badminton, cricket, football, and table tennis. Exploring new places and cultures also brings me great joy. Additionally, I have a hobby of collecting molluscs and identifying them.
