Aditya Pradhan is a Zoologist by training, with interest in documenting biodiversity and exploring community attitudes towards them. He joined ATREE in June, 2018 as a Project Fellow in an NMHS funded project, where he worked on valuation of ecosystem services from community perspectives. He has worked on various topics related to biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, and citizen science in the socio-ecological landscapes of Darjeeling Sikkim Himalaya. He is currently enrolled as a PhD candidate in the Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta, and is currently working on the woodpecker communities in the differently-managed forests of Darjeeling, Eastern Himalaya, India.
