2020 has been a year of loss and hardships. Even as it feels sometimes as if the worst has come to pass, the emergence of a new strain calls for continued vigilance. On the positive side, COVID-19 has thrown light on the power and resilience of collective effort in tackling such a sudden challenge.
For our monthly "Shoots and Leaves", we begin this year with a fresh new look, and a link to exciting blog posts developed by our ATREE Young Researchers Network (AYRN), which contains stories from the research conducted by them. We hope you will enjoy these vignettes from the bright, young minds who are contributing to the generation of knowledge toward a sustainable future.
We must look forward to the new year with caution, but also hope. And use our learnings to build a just, sustainable, and resilient future. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the faculty, researchers, staff, and students of ATREE, I wish you, your families, and loved ones, a happy and healthy New Year.
Warm Regards,
Dr Nitin Pandit
Director
