Vipin Kumar completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany from Zakir Husain College, University of Delhi, and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies from the Department of Environmental Studies, University of Delhi. His M.Sc. dissertation explored the “Variability of Leaf Construction Cost Among Invasive Growth Forms.”
Vipin has gained valuable experience as a research fellow on a DST-funded project titled “Groundwater and Surface Water Monitoring and Analysis” at the Shriram Institute for Industrial Research, Delhi. He has contributed to a variety of research projects, including studies on palynology, ploidy analysis, the metabolomes of invasive plant species, and the ecological restoration of urban wetlands.
Currently, at ATREE, Vipin is working on the development of a pre-restoration avian fauna diversity profile across different habitat zones of Baiyappanahalli Lake.
