Jayanth Shivaramegowda is a master’s graduate in Environmental Futures from the University of Glasgow, with a focus on sustainable systems and minors in water-related subjects like Modelling and Monitoring Water Environments. Holding a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from JSS Science and Technology University, Jayanth is passionate about restoring water ecosystems, flood risk management, and environmental sustainability.
As a Research Trainee at the British Geological Survey, Jayanth contributed to socio-hydrological resilience studies in Oaxaca, Mexico. Additionally, his academic projects include multi-hazard analysis in Jakarta and 2D flood modeling of the Bislak River in the Philippines.
With knwoledge in GIS, HEC-RAS, and sustainability frameworks, Jayanth actively pursues innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Beyond research, he is also a certified yoga instructor, blending personal wellness with a commitment to fostering harmony between communities and ecosystems.
