A Botany Postgraduate from Bangalore University with Plant Physiology and Plant Taxonomy as a specialization, he is currently a part-time research scholar at the Department of Botany of the same university. Having started his career as a teaching faculty, he has worked for various colleges in Bengaluru and Chikkaballapura as an Assistant Professor of Botany for 7.5 years alongside research. As a Botanist, he is passionate about the collection, identification, herbarium preparation, conservation and plant photography therefore interested in field research and community engagement. Additionally he has received 2 best paper presentations on Honey Analysis and Ethnobotany. Besides, he has been trained by the Indian Army at NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur and commissioned as Lieutenant to work as an Associate NCC Officer. In ATREE, he is associated with the Gomala (Grassland) Restoration Project at Bagepalli, Chikkaballapura District, Karnataka.
