Bangalore historically had hundreds of waterbodies. While many have disappeared, some that have remained are in the process of restoration. Interaction of the people with the lakes has changed drastically in such a way the lakes are considered as water storage tanks and space for recreation. In Kannamangala Lake, located  in the outskirts of Bengaluru, we are engaging the user community to build stewardship using activities such as nature walks and other experiential learning techniques about the importance of biodiversity associated with water bodies such as lakes.
