Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Bangalore invites applications for a research position in social sciences. The researcher will be part of 3 year interdisciplinary research project on Climate Change, Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation in India.
Background: ATREE is a research organization working in the fields of biodiversity conservation, environment and development. The project aims to deepen our understanding of climate change, vulnerability, impacts, and explore what is needed to transform current reactive adaptation practices to be more proactive and enable widespread impact.
We are looking to fill this position at the Postdoctoral Research Associate/Senior Research Associate level depending on qualifications. The position is based at ATREE office in Bangalore, but may require some field travel in rural parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The researcher will be primarily engaged in field data analysis and will participate in the writing up and dissemination of the results. He/she will work as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes hydrologists, ecologists, agricultural scientists, climate scientists and social scientists.
