EXPERIENCE
Mar 16- Present: Adjunct Fellow, ATREE, Climate Change Programme
Project: An Investigation of Community-Based Wet-waste Composting in Bangalore, India
This proposed research project aims to generate knowledge that might be applied to deal with garbage disposal and recycling/treatment in the other parts of the World, e.g., Vancouver in Canada, Chengdu in China. The study will involve a comprehensive investigation of the design and implementation of community-based garbage segregation and composting in Bangalore, draw lessons from Bangalore, and integrate practice and lessons learned from other documented wet-waste composting models. The project will be led jointly by Dr. Xuehua Zhang from Sichuan University, China and myself.
