Research Interests

    • My research can be broadly divided into 4 major areas:
      1. Understanding the genetic consequences of harvesting/ habitat degradation/fragmentation
      2. Evolution and Molecular systematics
      3. Biogeography and Phylogeography
      4. Chemical Ecology and Bioprospecting
  • My research integrates molecular, ecological, phylogenetics and niche modeling tools to address some fundamental research questions. My research group works across various taxa, including plants, amphibians and mollusks. I welcome students who are interested in working on any of these areas or would like to develop their own.
